A high-voltage load switch is an electrical appliance used to control power transformers, and its function is between high-voltage circuit breakers and high-voltage isolation switches. It is often used in series with high-voltage fuses.

The high-voltage load switch utilizes the current-limiting function of the current-limiting fuse, which can also significantly reduce the effects of heat and electric power caused by short-circuit current when completing the task of breaking the circuit.

When opening, the main shaft rotates clockwise under the action of the opening spring, and the piston moves upward through the crank-slider mechanism to compress the gas, so that the main knife is opened first, and then the arc-extinguishing knife is pushed to open the arc contact. The compressed air in the air blows out the arc through the nozzle.
