THE TYPES OF LOAD BREAK SWITCHES

The high-voltage load switch is used to break the load current (including regular overload current) under operation, and has a certain ability to adjust the photosynthetic short-circuit current and thermal stability. It is often used together with fuses in the power system. The load switch is used for control and overload protection, and the fuse is used for short-circuit protection.
Because the load switch only needs to break a small load current, its arc extinguishing equipment is much simpler than that of the circuit breaker. According to the principle of arc extinguishing and different media, load switches can be divided into the following categories:
1. Use the arc energy to make the solid gas production material generate gas, and blow the arc to make it pause the solid gas production load switch.
2. The compressed air load switch that uses the piston compression air to generate the air blowing effect to make the arc suspend, the gas can be air or sulfur hexafluoride gas.
3. The oil-immersed load switch is an oil-immersed load switch that uses the arc energy in the oil to make the oil evaporate and decompose to generate gas, so that the arc is cooled and suspended.
4. The vacuum load switch that suspends the arc in the vacuum is similar in structure to the vacuum circuit breaker, but the contact material is different.
5. Sulfur hexafluoride load switch which extinguishes arc in sulfur hexafluoride gas.
