How to see the transformer multiple?

Date:02-29-2024

 1. The number appears on the transformer. For example, the transformer ratio is 100:5, then the multiple is 20 times when the wire passes through the transformer once; When the wire passes through the transformer twice, the multiple is 10, the bottom of the table minus the difference of the last table and multiplied by the multiplier is the number of electricity.

 2. The transformer ratio is marked on the nameplate, generally 100:5,200:5 and so on. No multiple of the transformer wire directly into the meter.

3. The rated current of the meter is 3–6A, the working current divided by the ratio of the number can be within the rated current range of the meter.

4. Use instrumentation. Use a multimeter or digital power meter, adjust it to the AC voltage test mode, connect the electrode of the test instrument to the input end of the transformer, connect the ammeter to the output end of the transformer, and observe the display of the test instrument after power, you can get the multiple parameter of the transformer.

5. Actual number of turns through core. If the actual number of turns through the core does not match the standard, then the standard multiple value should be divided by the actual number of holes when looking at the multiple.

In short, there are many ways to check the transformer multiple parameters, including using the instrument and by looking for the transformer model manual to obtain the parameters. You can choose your own method according to the actual situation, and remember to pay attention to safety during operation.
