I. Core Functions
This sensor is mainly used to detect whether the trolley is in the correct operating position to ensure the safety of power operations. Its main functions include:
Position Confirmation: Accurately detect whether the trolley is in the “working position”, “test position” or “disconnected position”.
Interlock Linkage: Interact with the five-prevention interlock system to prevent misoperation (such as mistakenly closing the grounding switch when the trolley is not in place).
Status Feedback: Provide real-time position signals to the monitoring system to achieve remote status monitoring.
II. Working Principle
The principle is usually based on proximity switches or microswitches:
Proximity type: When the metal baffle on the trolley chassis approaches the sensor’s sensing surface, the sensor outputs a signal. It has the advantages of non-contact and long service life.
Mechanical type: The on-off state is changed by the trolley moving and touching the mechanical contact. It has a simple structure and low cost.
III. Selection and Maintenance Points
Selection: It is necessary to match the voltage level of the switch cabinet (such as 12kV) and the trolley structure to ensure compatibility of installation dimensions and sensing distance.
Maintenance: Regularly check if the sensor is loose, if the sensing surface is dusty, and if the terminal is corroded to prevent false alarms or failure to act.
