 Indoor high-voltage AC earthing switches serve as core safety auxiliary equipment for 40.5kV indoor power systems. In indoor high-voltage power distribution sites such as substations and distribution rooms, when 40.5kV high-voltage equipment (including transformers, circuit breakers, busbars, power cables, etc.) requires inspection, maintenance or replacement, the equipment must be powered off first. Afterwards, the earthing switch is closed to establish a reliable connection between the equipment and the ground, so as to release residual charges (such as capacitive current) on the line.It prevents electric shock casualties to maintenance personnel caused by accidental power reclosure and protects the insulation of equipment from damage.
