A power plant, as a place where electricity is produced, often has to deal with electricity.For our factory, the motor in the factory is mainly divided into 6KV motor and 400V motor.6KV switchgear is an indispensable electrical equipment.

High voltage switchgear is widely used in power distribution system to receive and distribute electric energy.
It can not only put part of the power equipment or line into or out of operation according to the operation needs of the power grid, but also can quickly remove the faulty part from the power grid when the power equipment or line is faulty, so as to ensure the normal operation of the fault free part of the power grid, as well as the safety of equipment and operation and maintenance personnel.
Therefore, the high voltage switchgear is a very important distribution equipment, its safe and reliable operation of the power system has a very important significance.

1. Classification of high voltage switchgear
According to structure type:
Armored type: each room with metal plate isolation and grounding;
(2) Interval type: each room is separated by one or more metal plates;
(3) box type: with a metal shell, but the interval is less than the first two;
According to the placement of circuit breaker:
(1) Floor type: circuit breaker, hand car itself landing, pushed into the cabinet;
(2) middle type: hand truck installed in the middle of the switch cabinet:

3. High voltage switch

According to the arc extinguishing medium, the circuit breaker can be divided into:
① Oil circuit breaker.
It is divided into multi – oil circuit breaker and less oil circuit breaker.
They are contacts in the oil to break, on, with transformer oil as the arcing medium.
② Compressed air circuit breaker.
A circuit breaker that uses compressed air at high pressure to blow out the arc.
③SF6 circuit breaker.
A circuit breaker that uses SF6 gas to blow out the arc.
Vacuum circuit breaker.
A circuit breaker whose contacts are broken and connected in vacuum and whose arc is extinguished in vacuum.
⑤ Solid gas production circuit breaker.
A circuit breaker that uses solid gas producing material to extinguish the gas decomposed under the action of high temperature of the arc.
⑥ Magnetic blow circuit breaker.
A circuit breaker in which an arc is blown into an arc grid by a magnetic field in the air to lengthen and cool the arc.
Our factory adopts the vacuum arc extinguishing method.

4. Three positions of the high voltage switch
Working position: the circuit breaker is connected with the primary equipment. After closing, the power is transmitted from the bus to the transmission line through the circuit breaker.
Test position: The secondary plug can be inserted into the socket to obtain power supply.
The circuit breaker can be closed, open operation, the corresponding indicator light;
The circuit breaker has no connection with the primary equipment and can carry out various operations, but it will not have any effect on the load side, so it is called the test position.
Maintenance position: there is no contact between the circuit breaker and the primary equipment (bus), the operation power is lost (the secondary plug has been pulled out), the circuit breaker is in the opening position, and the ground knife is in the closing state.

5. Five lock prevention of switch cabinet
1, circuit breaker and grounding switch are in the opening position, handcart from isolation/test position to move to the working position;
2, circuit breaker in the opening position of the hand to move from the working position to the test/isolation position;
3, hand in the experiment or working position, circuit breaker can be closed;
4, hand in the experiment or working position without control voltage, circuit breaker can not close, only manual opening;
5. When the hand car is in the working position, the secondary plug is locked and cannot be pulled out;
6, hand in the test/isolation position or moved, ground switch to close;
7. After the grounding switch is closed, the door can be opened;
