Our AZT-250A medium-voltage connector has arrived – seriously, this thing is quite reliable.

In the electrical industry, connectors may seem insignificant, but they cause the most headaches when problems arise.

So we put a lot of effort into this AZT (S)-250A medium-voltage cable connector. It is compatible with Interface A bushings, with a maximum voltage of 24kV and a current of 250A. It can be used in switch cabinets and transformers. The voltage range covers four levels from 6kV to 24kV, and there are corresponding models for conductor cross-sections ranging from 25 to 240 mm². It can handle basically all common situations.

What’s the structure inside?

In simple terms, it consists of three layers of EPDM: the innermost layer is a stress-controlled conductive EPDM core, the middle layer is an insulating layer, and the outer layer is a conductive sheath. The electric field is evenly distributed, the shielding is reliable, and the EPDM material is resistant to weathering, ozone, and aging, so it doesn’t panic when placed outdoors.

Every unit passes inspection before leaving the factory

We don’t do the “random inspection and it’s fine” approach. Before each connector leaves the factory, it undergoes AC withstand voltage and partial discharge tests, and regular X-ray inspections are conducted to check the internal structure. The standards comply with IEC 60502 and CENELEC HD 629, and all relevant certifications are obtained.

The site workers hate spending hours trying to install it but failing. The AZT-250A was designed with this in mind. The assembly is fast, with fewer steps, and it can stop the power for a short period if needed. For electrical testing, the metal casing or capacitor test points version can be selected. Each set is shipped with 3 connectors + installation instructions + silicone + complete installation tools, and you can start working as soon as you get them.
