Launch Update: DIN-12/250 Porcelain Transformer Bushing – 12kV/250A, Fully QC-Validated for Distribution Transformers

We are rolling out our DIN-12/250 porcelain transformer bushing, a 12kV/250A rated solution engineered for oil-immersed distribution transformers. Built to meet growing demand for dependable, cost-effective HV insulation components, this bushing is optimized for utility, industrial and distributed renewable energy transformer fleets.

Part of our full 1kV–66kV transformer bushing portfolio, the DIN-12/250 acts as both the high-voltage lead-out terminal and a structural mounting part. It provides full electrical insulation between the live conductor and transformer tank, while securing the lead wire against mechanical stress and short-circuit overheating.

The unit incorporates our patented gasket-shield sealing structure – a design already widely adopted and recognized by transformer OEMs for its long-term oil tightness and aging resistance.

Core Technical Specifications

Rated for 12kV system voltage and 250A continuous current, the bushing delivers a creepage distance of ≥295mm, making it suitable for moderately polluted environments. It operates reliably across an ambient temperature range of -55°C to +40°C, at altitudes up to 1000m; a strengthened pollution-proof version is available for sites up to 2500m above sea level.

Quality & Qualification

Every DIN-12/250 bushing completes a full in-house QC inspection before shipment, aligned with our internal product specification AH.DDA.001. The qualification test program includes:

Power frequency withstand voltage test: 30kV applied for 1 minute, no breakdown or flashover

Partial discharge measurement: PD <10pC at 12kV

Sealing test: 0.3MPa internal pressure held for 20 minutes with zero leakage

Full dimensional and visual inspection against engineering drawings

Mounting & Compatibility

The bushing supports vertical, inclined and horizontal mounting positions, and fits standard transformer tank openings of Ø78mm. It is supplied as a complete set with all mounting hardware – including pressure plate, nitrile rubber sealing ring, discharge electrode and brass conductive rod – for straightforward drop-in installation. The top vent design allows proper air bleeding during transformer oil filling.
