Elbow Surge Arrester

​Product Overview

This product is a fully insulated, fully sealed, plug-in type composite jacketed non-sparking zinc oxide surge arrester. Its shape adopts the standard 200A elbow (Elbow) interface design. The outer shell is integrally molded from silicone rubber, and the interior is encapsulated with high-performance zinc oxide valve plates. It is specially designed for installation on the interface of the 200A load break bushing extender of the load break switch, providing overvoltage protection for distribution equipment such as American box transformers, ring main units, and cable branch boxes, and featuring the capability of load break operation.

Core feature

Silicone rubber housing: Made by one-piece molding of high-temperature vulcanized silicone rubber (HTV), it possesses excellent hydrophobicity, resistance to electrical scarring, resistance to ultraviolet aging and tear resistance. It is suitable for outdoor harsh environments and does not require an additional protective cover.

Load insertion and removal function: A built-in arc suppression device (such as an arc-extinguishing rod or a special contact structure) is integrated, combined with a dedicated operating lever. This enables the insertion and removal of the lightning arrester while the main power supply remains connected, allowing for maintenance or replacement. The maximum breaking current is typically 200A.

Full shielding structure: The outer insulating layer is connected to the grounding wire to ensure uniform distribution of the electric field, achieving full insulation and allowing for touch without risk of electric shock.

Plug-and-play: The interface complies with the IEEE 386 standard and achieves seamless physical and electrical connection with 200A bushing extenders (such as double-ended bushings, T-joints, etc.). Installation only requires applying silicone grease, inserting it, and rotating to lock.
